Our fun  crafting with Grandkids project was creating a plate that looks like glass. This was a fun craft for Liam to do and he achieved beautiful results.  He filled the finished plate with cookies to take to his Mimi(Ronda)

This is what you will need.

Paper platter

Assorted colors of tissue paper

Mod Podge

Paint brush

Sharpie Marker

Resin Spray

How to.

Tear tissue paper into irregular pieces. Some large and some small.

Starting in center of plate apply Mod Podge to an area and lay tissue paper.
Then brush a coat of Mod Podge over tissue paper.  Repeat until entire tray is covered.  Be sure edges of tray are also covered.   Let dry and brush a second coat of Mod Podge over entire area.  Let dry and repeat on back of tray.

Using sharpie marker outline each tissue paper design. Also be sure to outline tissue paper that shows under some pieces.

Allow to dry about 10 minutes.

Spray entire tray with three coats of Resin Spray, allowing to dry between coats.

Tray can be hand washed when needed.
