Flower Pounding Craft Idea
This project is borrowed from my long time friend Joan Fee.
Liam did this on our crafting day. He especially liked the pounding and said it would be a good thing to do if he was angry about something.
Materials needed:
A piece of white cotton fabric. Prewashed and dried. Using no fabric softener.
piece of wood larger than the fabric piece.
Masking tape
Hammer.
leaf or flower . Pick a leaf or flower that has raised veins.
Instructions:
Lay leaf or flower face down on the fabric. Cover with masking tape.
Turn over and lay on wood.
Pound with hammer until leaf or flower design shows up.Be sure to pound around the edges to make a clear image.
Peel off tape carefully.
Now you can frame your print as we did or even glue it to a note card.
Liam gave his framed picture to his Mimi. ( Ronda)
This was a no mess. fun project and easy for a child.
